Do the campgrounds often open before 10am? We're driving down from Winnipeg, Canada. More than willing to leave whenever but don't want to arrive at 5 or 6am just to sit there in line for 4 hours. Where is everyone? this forum should be on Fire!

Lazy? I can't sit still and I'm sure the people in my apt. block are just loving the volume coming from my place. What can you do?

There should be a direct link on the main site, and you should be applauded. I've now been a member for an hour and have found this site to be invaluable. 1st time camper and I've been to 4 of these badboys.

The nearest public beach is the mile long beach on Detroit Lake (if you go on hwy 22 or 10).

Are there specific areas for RVs. Can we set up our tent anywhere in Lake Sallie? Thanks in advance!

My advice is, don't set your tent up in Lake Sallie.

Even with the best waterproofing, you're gonna get wet. Having a waterbed is nice, but NOT worth sleeping with the fishes for!
*snicker*
Unhelpful, I know, but I amuse myself.

^ Hahaha! I happen to like sleeping with fish. There aren't any RV specific spots. You can set up your camp where you want. Here is what it looks like when people are camped out at We Fest.. click on the link and then click Lake Sallie. www.wefest.com/2009/maps.php
