Haha, I need a Fat Tire! I'm bringing PBR and 1 or 2 Bell's Oberon mini kegs. I haven't tried Skinny Dip, who makes that?? What other drinks are you guys bringing? I was definately thinking some rum too... My friend suggested jello shots so maybe even those!

@hjenkins - I'm originally from So. Ca too, and they do have Mexican beer here in cans but imo its more expensive than buying it in CA, but I guess that's to be expected. I also wanted to bring coronas really bad, but I feel like corona in a can will taste like ass.
@sugarmagnolia - Jello shots are a genius idea! I love making them during the winter, its all about getting the right Jello Flavor + Liquor Combos imo. Also, I swear by using sugar-free jello, its sets faster even when you add more alcohol.
Here's some good combos > Lime + Tequila > Orange + Tequila > Orange + Rum > Strawberry + Vodka
Pretty much anything will mix with Vodka. Just make sure you still use warm water to dissolve the jello, then substitute your liquor for the cold water at the end. You can add a decent amount of liquor, but I usually try to add same amount of liquor as hot water, or maybe slightly more. Otherwise, the final product tastes just like a shot except in semi-solid form, which defeats the whole purpose of a jello shot (tasting good).

Haha, well.. now I am totally making jello shots.
I think I'm going to choose between these flavors: grape, pina colada, strawberry daquiri, and berry blue. Or make all of them... haha!

Ponce...you made me laugh. I so agree about Corona in a can. I'm thinking more Tecate or Dos Equis. Thanks for the tip on price.
Jello shots ARE genius! I leave next Saturday for the road trip so they probably won't last. We're considering making a batch of sangria the day before, as recommended. Yummmmm!

*wrinkles nose* I'd love to try a jello shot...except jello is such an evil evil food. Even the alcohol in one wouldn't be enough to make me try it. But, like Hjenkinsdance, I think I'm going to make a jug of sangria before I leave. Wasn't planning on it, but I passed a bottle of pomegranate wine in the liquor store on Saturday, and it seems like the perfect thing to use! So, I may be trying my hand at making and bringing some... That, along with plenty of rum, and I'll be a happy camper! *laugh*

I actually hate jello... a lot, hahah! But I also hate the taste of alcohol and taking shots a lot... so I want to mask it as much as possible. I also don't like wine at all.. but I can't wait to try your sangria because I have never had any!!

*laugh* And I've never had wine... So, we can try it together, and if it turns out awful, we can foist in on unsuspecting passers-by.
