What campgrounds can I choose from? Lake Sallie, Northwoods, Viking, Blue Ox, and VIP. Lake Sallie and Northwoods sell out fast!
What is each campground like? All campgrounds have free/warm permanent showers and bathrooms with running water.
VIP - Located directly behind the Main Stage, VIP Camping offers wooded and open-field campsites. A VIP Bar/Chill Lounge make "roughing it" easier. The lounge is a big tent with chairs and couches, food, bar, and a stage area. You must have a VIP Campground Vehicle Reservation (to park your car and put your tent there) and VIP Music and Camping Tickets to enter.
Northwoods - This is the party campground. Secluded and nestled in a rolling forest within an easy walk to the concert venue. There are many hills, dales and hidden lakes.
Lake Sallie - The more laidback campground. You'll want to camp here if you like to chill out and want to get some sleep at night. Don't worry there are plenty of awesome parties and drum circles here too! Camp on the shore of the lake or on the hills overlooking the water. There are amazing sites with great sunset views for the adventurous, or prime woods camping with great shade and beautiful surroundings. There's a huge lake you can swim in or kayak/canoe. I would advise camping here or Viking/Blue Ox if you have an RV as Northwoods is all trees.
Viking/Blue Ox - These campgrounds offer camping on rolling fields and meadows. Both campgrounds are within easy walking distance of all stages. Great for huge RVs.
If I am camping in VIP, can my friends hang out there with me? No. You're allowed to go anywhere though so you can visit your friends in their campground. You can also have a VIP ticket and purchase a Campground Vehicle Reservation for a different campground if you would rather stay there and still be able to go in the VIP campground and lounge.
What if I'm in a regular campground and want to visit my friend in their's or explore the other ones? That's fine! You're welcome to go wherever you want except the VIP Campground.
What's the deal with fire rings/having fires? You are allowed to have fires at 10KLF. You can bring a fire ring if you would like, they are not available for renting at the event. There are no size requirements for them, however, you will want it deep enough in case there is a lot of wind, you can still control the fire. You can also bring a shovel and dig a hole and place rocks around it for a fire pit. They have fire wood for sale in all the campgrounds. No one is allowed to bring wood from other places into any of the campgrounds.
Are there general stores and what do they offer? There is a general store in every campground (at the lounge area for VIP) as well as one in the concert bowl. They offer: 10KLF Festival Merchandise, message boards, maps, energy drinks, water, ATM's, ice, smokes, festival and camping supplies, golf cart taxi pickup stations, raffles, giveaways, garbage/recycling bags and more.
Where can we find the vendors? The vendors are located in the concert bowl as well as the Lake Sallie, Northwoods, and Blue Ox/Viking campgrounds - Many are open 24hrs.
I heard there were stages/entertainment tents in a couple campgrounds.. Where are they and what do they offer? The entertainment tent/acoustic stage is in the Lake Sallie campground. They provide a shady place to sit and eat and enjoy fun activites and live music all day long such as: amazing acoustic performances, workshops, activites, shopping, great food, and much much more. The bands play from noon to 9pm Thursday - Saturday, 5 bands a day.
