I've never done ebay...but I have done half.com (I think it's ebay's media wing) for old textbooks. It was a very easy process - I can't think it'd be much different for regular ebay!

I just put up my first listing on ebay, hehe! I'm selling some sweet BC Footwear flats that I ordered and didn't fit me... and then I forgot to return them in 30 days, haha. Hopefully someone wants them. I can't wait to sell a bunch of stuff on there!!

I sell stuff on ebay all the time and it's pretty easy and for the most part, buyers are quite nice (as long as you are completely honest about the item and you ship in a reasonable time-frame). The only tip I will give you is to over-estimate your shipping costs and don't forget the price of your packing material in that shipping price. If you quote a lower price for shipping than it actually costs you, there's nothing you can do about it - you have to honour the price you quoted. If you want, send me the link to your auction and I'll take a look and tell you what I think I've bought and sold a lot on there.

How is selling going on ebay? I stopped because no one was buying anything. I don't want to make a killing, just getting rid of stuff! If anyone wants to give out their ebay seller name I would be more than happy to look and see what you all have up. Maybe you guys can give me the push I need to go back to selling. I have been way too lazy!

I sold a few things one time... I think it works pretty well if you sell them as an entire lot. Let us know how it goes!

It's silly - I've been using ebay to buy stuff for this summer. It's so hard to find copper jewelry anywhere else (I adore copper). But I managed to find a nice pair of earrings and a cuff for pretty cheap! Still looking for some cheap blue sea glass...wish me luck finding that. Sadly, I haven't had time working on the clothes I've been planning. Geek Prom is this weekend, and I needed an appropriately poofy skirt. Has anyone here dyed their own clothes? I've been thinking of getting some dyes and trying some tie-dye or ombre dying on some fabric. I'd like to hear tips of anyone has them!

Ok, hi.. say.. I'm a fat chick(I do not attatch a negative connotation to this, and i hope you don't either), and I really have a hard time finding things to wear. I do have more of a bohemian style, and I don't know how to sew, so usually I have to dig and dig and search and search to find something I dig. Do you guys know of any place I can get some laidback/bohemian/hippie(even though describing clothes with this word urks me because being a hippie has nothing to do with style, and everything to do with actions and mentality)clothing? I wish the companies that you listed(although I must admit I didn't go through most of them) made clothing for me because fat chicks have good taste too, ya know? Anyway, any thoughts would help, thanks in advance!!

You should look on etsy for copper jewelry, they have beautiful and cheap stuff on there!! Maybe even sea glass??!

Dearprudence (feels like I'm singing a Beatles song or writing to an advice column? *laugh*) - I'm a fat chick too. Too bad you don't sew - some stuff is really easy to make! There are a few ebay shops that you can find good things at - a quick search can find some nice stuff. Plenty of the regular plus-sized shops have clothes that are hippie-ish, too. Hm...where else have I looked? A few google searches for "plus-sized hippie clothes" might help. But if you don't sew at all, I think ebay will be your best bet!
Sugar - I've actually been making my own copper stuff. I got lucky and found a bead shop in town that sells copper hardware. And I had a friend who lives on the ocean say he can find me some beach glass. Of course, then I need to buy a dremel drill... *laugh* All this turns into such a project, but it's all so much fun! I still haven't gotten around to buying anything to dye...and I probably won't. Seems like I'm always trying to do too much! Can't wait 'til I can show off some of my stuff...or it just might have to wait 'til the fest!

Sugarmagnolia, thanks so much! I checked out their site and found that there is an actual store in the mall of america, which is only about an hour from here, so I'm going to make a trip over there to "get the goods".. thanks so much!! QuietDelusions... thanks so much for your suggestions! I have not thought of ebay before.. i'll try to hop on and have a look-see today for sure. I did a search last night on google and there is this place called "etsy".. www.etsy.com where people buy and sell homemade goodies(great for ppl who can sew or do other various crafts.. jewelry, etc..).. I found some really pretty skirts there... thanks so much you guys, and have a great day!!

So... 10k is 6 days away!! Do you ladies have your outfits all planned out?! Is anyone wearing costumes or anything for late night??
I decided I'm wearing two sweet dresses and skirts/tanks the other 2 days. But I'm bringing a couple tees and some jeans in case its cooler out/for at night. As well as a couple hoodies and a sweater. I tend to pack a lot of clothes..... hehe.
Has anyone started packing yet? I think I'm going to start going through all my stuff on Friday and then pack the stuff I don't need til I leave in bags.. and I need to set my tent up and let it air out as well. I work so much, I haven't had time to go through that stuff yet!
Does anyone else not unpack some of their stuff when they get home from a festival?! I still have a few things packed away and unwashed from last year, HAHA!

I didn't get nearly as much sewing done as I wanted. I've made two long skirts and two flowy kimono tops (well, I still have to sew one together...but that should be fast!). I've got a dress or two I'll bring, and the rest is just shorts and t-shirts and a big warm hoodie. And a bunch of scarves - I like keeping my hair loose, but out of my face! Oh, and a cute pair of shoes that I just had to get, too. I haven't started packing yet. This weekend, I'm doing a load of laundry just for the stuff I'm bringing, and will pack right right from the dryer.

I keep a travel bag packed all the time, esp in summer. I leave a lot of things packed in my van too so I don't get so frantic when it's time to go to another fest. There was a skirt I had been looking for all summer that ended up being stuffed in a suitcase that I had set aside and had not been using. Hurray!! I was happy to find it at last.
I am making somewhat of a list for 10k though, since it usually ends up being one of the longer fests of the year for me. I overpack a bit too coz you just never know what mood or weather condition might strike as far as clothing needs are concerned.
On the large size issue, here is an Ebay vendor I have ordered from before: seller name is prettypetitesg or Pretty Petites collection, and I am definitely not petite either. Some of their supposed large sizes run smaller than stated, so order bigger than you think you need.
What I like about their items is that most of them are actually kind of multisize so they "shrink or grow" as needed even if you don't get the exact right size. Really comfy fabric too, soft and flowy.
One drawback is that they ship out of Singapore I think, so shipping is a little high but they do combine shipping for multiple items. When I ordered in the past I received my items within a week. It's probably been 2+ years since I last ordered from them but all the items I bought have held up well.
