I don't know how many people know about this but a thought for next year...
For 15 years the Humane Society of the Lakes has offered safety, shelter and help for thousands of homeless animals. This non-profit organization is currently made up entirely of volunteers who care for animals and believe that they deserve a warm and loving permanent home. Currently they use temporary foster homes in their efforts to find homes for abandoned and unwanted animals. In addition, they continue to educate the public on population control, preventative health care and obedience training.
Volunteer Opportunities at 10KLF
