Well I hope this board will stay active for a while....I had so much fun I did not want to come home. I hope you all had as great a time as I did. We were camped with a large group on a hill overlooking Hwy 59 in Northwoods, which was a good location.
My 2 favorite shows ended up being Cloud Cult at the barn stage and High Strung String Band at Lake Sallie camp stage; both were afternoon sets.
Not that I didn't enjoy 2 nights of WSP and many other shows but these 2 were memorable musically for me.
Last year one of my highlights was an impromptu early evening bluegrass jam in the middle of Lake Sallie campgrounds. It seems the unexpected is often the best time.
What were your musical highlights?

For me, it was my friends in Mountain Standard Time. They put on a great show (I think the whole Saloon was dancing!), and they are all awesome/very talented people!! Paper Bird was amazing too, they're another band from Colorado. But the whole time was amazing. I cannot wait until next year!!

I saw them during lunch in that VIP tent. They were good. I sincerely regret missing Cloud Cult. You could hear the cheers all the way at the back of the Field Stage. The second Panic show was outstanding and even though I've seen them several times before the energy that Wilco brought was impressive. Great music, an extremely friendly vibe, and not much to complain about (except maybe chilly showers and hard-to-find coffee).

Wookiefoot, all the way. And Cloud Cult. Two of my favorite bands, even better live.

the sleeper for me was Elf Lettuce..
I had no intention of watching them at all... but due to poor schedule reading I ended up by the saloon while they were playing
at first I was on a bench kind of checking out akron family and that wasnt doing it for me.. but I could hear Elf Lettuce bleeding through between songs and shit so I gravitated closer to the saloon and was really impressed with them
They were way into it and had real good energy... the crowd in there was popping too we took a seat on the saloon porch (in that lovely breeze on the hill) and just soaked it all in Im am so glad I cant read a schedule for shit otherwise I never would have been there right then... Im glad I was there to see it
I also enjoyed Mason Jennings more than I thought I would.. but I dont have a story to go along with him

I don't have any exciting stories but... Every band I saw was the for the first time... and that was great, especially in the case of WILCO!! Tweedy and company put on a killer show.... However, my big highlight was Cloud Cult, no doubt. Amazing. The energy and the music and the lyrics and the art... just beauty-ous. Oh, and not to forget WSP... they were great too. And I need some new adjectives.

I'm with you marleyjayne! Wilco was PHENOMENAL! For smaller bands, I was really impressed with Harper. Great band to chill in the VIP tent with and get ready for the day.

Agreed... Those bands in the food tent were awesome.. It was nice to be able to catch up on some of the smaller bands we missed because of schedule conflicts in that intimate setting Mountain Standard Time was one we got the pleasure to eat with... as far as Wilco... I had zero familiarity with them beyond whatever is on Guitar Hero or Rockband video game.. Impossible Germany I think is one song.. I had DL a show from April to check them out and... partially due to the recording... I wasnt too into it All I can say is.. what a difference seeing a band live makes... Quite the impressive show IMO, Im a fan
