^ Yeah, I'd like to hear about that as well. I'm asking my friend who always gets there around 3am and I'll let you guys know. This is my first time actually camping there (I was at a cabin last year) and I am concerned about that, haha. I don't think anyone will get hassled though if we're all being responsible.

I'll be heading in from Duluth, so I've got a 5 hour drive, give or take. How early should I aim to be there? I know they don't start letting people into the campgrounds 'til 10, but I see people speaking of lining up? How long do the lines get? Is it worth it to get there early? Just HOW early in the morning will I have to get up?? *laugh*

Well.. my friend said he went there at 4am last year and got turned away.. You have to get there when a bunch of other people do, you know too many to turn away.. haha! So far I think I'll plan on getting there between 6 and 7am, that could change though.

Good question Jimmy, I was wondering that myself
My wife and I are flying into Fargo from Arkansas and meeting up with emac2112 and his fiance. We got our RV and we are ready to go!

I have not heard much about VIP and I don't know what time we should arrive. At Roo it was all about timing because they tell you were to park....Would it be necessary for us to get there at the crack of dawn to get a good camping spot in VIP??? I could see being there at 7 or 8. That sounds reasonable to me but like I said, never been there!

I would get there between 6 and 8am for a good spot. It says the campgrounds don't open til 10am but they opened early at around 8 last year because of all the people.

at least we will get like one nights worth of sleep at home, then hit the road again to make it to 10k early, depending on what jobs we get we may have to get there even earlier... meaning possibly dropping the girls off in gb and heading almost immediately to Minnesota... looks like I should start stocking up on the red bull
