Corn fields are about our only choice as we are coming from Iowa But the trip is well worth it for the fun and good times at 10KLF!!! Just over a month now but wish it was next weekend!! Hope everyone has a fun journey!

I think no matter the scenery, the anticipation of the destination will make the journey FABULOUS! You'll enjoy it! <3 from another Heather. :-)

Ha. The folks at AAA aren't stupid. That route is far more scenic than hundreds of miles (literally) of corn fields. Montana and the Black Hills win, hands down. I like my home state, but not enough to recommend driving through it. Going to swing by my AAA today and see what they give me!

ok, I have enough books and maps so I can't possible get lost. I-80 is just the best way for us to go so no alternates given to me. I got the "blah" woman while everyone around me was laughing and joking with their helpers. Mine was a wet mop....anyway, glad I went. Today we are trying to figure out a good destination for our overnight on the way to our MN hotel. The bulk of our driving will be on Sunday. Plan to leave about 2am, for Roo we left at about 3am and we got stuck on the Tapanzee Bridge for about 45 minutes. Construction was cleaning up so they closed it to put everything away. That sucked. 20 minutes from my house and stuck on a bridge for almost an hour, crazy! We have to go over the same bridge, so checking on construction time this year!
